Dash Diet Success

So far I've lost approximately 17 pounds just by following Dash Diet Guidelines.
It's really quite easy and the best part is you aren't depriving yourself of any one food type. Dash has been the number one recommended diet, by Doctors, for more than 5 years. Depending on your source it could be more than 10.  This is the diet my regular physician AND my Adult Congenital Cardiologist want me on.  I finally acquiesced and started a little over a month ago.  I could be doing a lot better, but this is a lifestyle change so you are going to have set backs as you learn to adapt your lifestyle to accommodate the guidelines.  It's an ongoing process.

Instead of pasta I've been doing spaghetti squash with meat sauce (made from ground turkey )and zucchini lasagna.  Both are SO tasty.  I even prepped breakfast egg muffins for this coming week so I don't have to dirty a frying pan everyday.  I'll be posting recipes in the near future, so stay tuned.
